रंगों का उत्‍सव होली, शरद ऋतु के समापन का और वसंत ऋतु के आगमन का संदेश देता है। यह उत्‍सव, सभी के जीवन में आशा का संचार करने वाला होता है और इसलिए हमारी सांस्‍कृतिक परम्‍परा में होली का विशेष स्‍थान है। हर आयु और हर वर्ग के लोग इस त्‍योहार को बड़े हर्ष और उल्‍लास के साथ मनाते हैं। विविध रंगों से ओत-प्रोत होली का यह पर्व, हमारी विविधता और सांस्‍कृतिक विरासत का प्रतिबिम्‍ब है।

मेरी कामना है कि इस पर्व के माध्‍यम से अपनी अमूल्‍य विरासत और जीवन-मूल्‍यों में देशवासियों का विश्‍वास बढ़े तथा यह त्‍योहार सभी लोगों में परस्‍पर सद्भाव व मैत्री को और मजबूत बनाए।’

The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has also greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Holi. In a message, he said that, this festival of colors is a time to come together and rejoice in the spirit of unity, brotherhood and affection. On this Holi, he called for strengthening the bonds of friendship and amity that hold our society together.
