Ontario’s Original Adventure Park Company Opens Parks for the Season

Treetop Trekking has opened up its adventure parks for the 2020 season in an attempt to provide a fun and active outdoor activity for people to enjoy close to home. The company has opened five of its six locations in Ontario so far and has adapted operations to meet Covid-19 best practices, while still providing a one of a kind experience for guests.

Guests can expect fewer people in the park, staff wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), hand sanitizer available, and augmented cleaning procedures, all to keep guests and staff safe.

“It hasn’t been an easy spring for us” says Treetop Trekking Regional Manager, Jamie Hesser. “It really pained us when we had to close all of our parks and lay-off most of our staff in late March, just as we were preparing to open for the season”. She went on to say, “Shortly after closing we shifted gears to planning and getting everything in place to be able to open up safely and responsibly, if we were to receive the opportunity”.

With the province now into Stage 2 of re-opening, Treetop Trekking has received the opportunity they were hoping, and the company hopes to salvage their summer and autumen season before closing up again in November.

Treetop Trekking has opened its adventure parks in Barrie, Brampton, Hamilton, Stouffville, and the Ganaraska Forest between Port Hope and Peterborough for the season. The company’s Huntsville location remains closed for scheduled maintenance which they were not able to complete in the spring due to Covid-19.

Treetop Trekking offers a variety of outdoor adventure activities including Zipline and Aerial Game Treks where guests travel from tree top to tree top on a series of elements such as wooden bridges, balance logs, Tarzan swings, and ziplines. Some locations also offer Discovery Kids Courses starting at age 5 for younger guests to enjoy.
