INDIAN MATCHMAKING’S APARNA JOINS THEY SEE BLUE TEXAS FOR VIRTUAL PHONE BANKING EVENT
They See Blue Texas has teamed up with the breakout star of Netflix’s hit show Indian Matchmaking for a virtual phone banking event on Saturday July 24 from 2-4pm cst. In today’s political climate of a pandemic and a civil rights movement, this election year is more important than ever. They See Blue is dedicated to flipping the seats and states blue by targeting South Asian voters to get out to the polls.
“Voter turnout is critical at this time. I’m looking forward to supporting my community as we mobilize in anticipation of November’s pivotal election” said Aparna.
This is an important moment: Texas is a key battleground state and They See Blue Texas is rallying the South Asian community to volunteer. The organization plans to increase voter turnout and registration and is seeking new volunteers for September and October initiatives.

They See Blue’s mission is to mobilize and engage Americans of South Asian origin in the democratic process to help Democrats win federal, state, and local races. They See Blue was founded in July 2018 in California, with the goal of using cultural connection to support progressive South Asian civic engagement. The organization currently has over 20 chapters nationwide, over 2000 members and has engaged over 10,000 voters.
