For the past 53 years, The Centre for Immigrant and Community Services (CICS) has served the newcomer communities in the Greater Toronto Area. During the COVID 19 pandemic CICS rose to the challenge by providing services to help those hardest hit by the crisis. We assisted thousands of people to apply and access government support programs such as CERB. Our seniors meals delivery program delivered 2 cooked meals a day, 7 days a week to isolated seniors who could not leave their homes to buy food or groceries. Our food bank provides groceries to over 300 people a week. In the midst of unprecedented challenges, CICS was there for the most vulnerable among us, to make sure no one is left behind.
On January 21, 2021, CICS will partner with A1 Chinese Radio (AM1540, www.a1chineseradio.ca) to hold a one day radio-thon to raise much needed funds for our work. The event will run on air from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Please tune in to learn about our work from our staff and clients. Online donations can be made by calling 416-333-5847 or by visiting www.cics2021.com
