Finland is the happiest country in the world!

Finland retains the title as the world’s happiest country for a fourth consecutive year and despite the Covid-19 pandemic!

It comes as no surprise as Finland once again takes the top spot as the happiest country in the world according to survey data taken from the Gallup World Poll. It has always ranked very high on the measures of mutual trust that have helped to protect lives and livelihoods during the pandemic. The rankings overall remained very similar to last year.

Factors used for the assessment include GDP per capita, healthy years of life expectancy, freedom, and perceived corruption in government and business.

Of the 149 countries featured on the report, Afghanistan has ranked the most unhappy once again, followed by Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and Botswana.
