Autumn Arrives! Enhance the Exteriors! Driveway Do-Over & Pool Protection!

The drop in fall temperatures can be invigorating. While the seasons are changing, there are three easy DIY projects people can do to enhance their home exteriors. And they all deal with easily upgrading concrete surfaces in just one weekend.

Project #1 – The Cover-Up

If your concrete walkways, steps or garage floor look worn-out, turn to Terrazzo from Daich Coatings.

Made with real stone, a gallon of all-weather Terrazzo covers up to 60 square feet of surface space. The coating hides hairline cracks and minor flaws in existing surfaces. Two coats are recommended (a few hours apart) for a beautiful, water-tight granite finish. The easy-to-apply decorative granite resurfacer can be applied over concrete, masonry, linoleum, vinyl and tile surfaces.

Tested for water, salt, chemical, impact and abrasion resistance, Terrazzo is long-lasting in any environment. The real stone coating also resists hot tire pick up, plus mold and mildew. Terrazzo is U/V brittle resistant and beautifully handles freeze and thaw conditions. Available in seven colors.

“My expectation for this product included a professional look after completion, a slip-resistant finish, and long-lasting beauty. So far my expectations have been met.”

Project #2 – Driveway Do-Over

What one surface on your property gets the most use (and abuse) every day? Your driveway. Over time, your asphalt or concrete driveway can break apart, get damaged by the sun’s rays and simply deteriorate.

A quick, easy roll-on application of RollerRock® provides long-lasting beauty and slip-resistant traction for a driveway surface. Laboratory tested to provide up to double the recommended OSHA slip-resistance rating, RollerRock’s real stone composition instantly revitalizes dull, stained driveways.

Two coats is all it takes to achieve a lasting textured stone floor that delivers added beauty and foot traction. And, RollerRock stands up to hot tires, regular foot traffic, water, chemicals, UV rays, salt and more – in all climates. Available in 15 standard colors.

“I’ve purchased lots of products in my lifetime and hardly ever do they live up to the hype. RollerRock was a REAL find. It’s an impressive product that offers both a solid surface finish and has truly upgraded the look of my home’s exterior. This has been the best and easiest project I’ve ever done.”

Project #3 – Pool Deck Protection

Just because the floats and swimming tubes have been put away for the season, it doesn’t mean you should overlook your pool deck surface.

Reduce the chances of slips and falls on pool decking all year long with TracSafe® Anti-Slip Sealer. With anti-slip ratings up to twice the OSHA standard, TracSafe provides aggressive anti-slip performance with all-weather durability. Easy installation comes by simply rolling down two coats of the product a few hours apart.

TracSafe’s anti-slip coating technology lays down a uniform foot traction surface that exhibits effective slip resistance properties in both wet and dry conditions, with bare feet and various common pedestrian and work footwear.

“Applying the TracSafe finish was easy and the results are terrific. It feels like there’s more traction available when the surface is wet, so it’s not as slick. And, where I’ve applied the TracSafe I don’t have any moss growth to worry about.”
