2022 Home & Garden Trends Shaping How We Live!

The way we live in our homes has changed and it’s about time our spaces not only reflect the changing seasons and trends, but also the functionality of our lifestyles. As we look for ways to update our spaces, renovating and/or re-decorating rooms to fit our current needs, the National Home Show, The Big One, presented by RE/MAX running April 15 – 24, 2022 at Toronto’s Exhibition Place, wants to help Canadians “create their space, their way.”

“Regardless of size or budget your space should be an extension of you,” says Denise Hayward, Show Manager. “With all the changes we’ve endured over these past few years, it’s clear that most homes aren’t working for us anymore. It’s time we refocused our attention on our homes, elevating them so they work for us. This can mean creating a home office that converts into a spare bedroom, upgrading your home’s technology to make a space you can grow old in with ease and/or simply refreshing your living space to finally be as unique as you are. It’s time to create a space, your way.”

Indoor Trends:

Extreme Minimalism – maybe it’s because we’re all living at home that we notice more clutter, but regardless, you can expect to see a lot less in 2022. Modern furniture stores like
Casalife keep things simple with clean lines, bright, natural materials and ample storage to hide away any messes.

Outdoor Trends:

Ponds and Reservoirs – More Canadians are looking to create an outdoor oasis in their backyards as travel restrictions continue. In 2022 companies such as Curb Appeal Concepts
can help turn inspiration into reality and take your staycation to the next level with a backyard space that screams outdoor paradise – think ponds, reservoirs and waterscapes.

Find these trends and more at the National Home Show, running April 15 – 24, 2022 at Toronto’s Exhibition Place.
